13th Annual Joshua Tree National Park Art Exposition

The Joshua Tree National Park Art Expo returns to the historic 29 Palms Art Gallery for a weekend celebrating the connection between art and nature. Since 2013, the juried exhibition has showcased works inspired by the park’s beauty and cultural history. Opening weekend features artist booths, live music, food, and family activities—and just down the road, the quirky annual “Weed Show” adds to the desert art festivities.

Second Saturdays: Indigenous Mosaics

Located within San Bernardino Valley College, this community-focused gallery welcomes both students and the public to explore its latest exhibition on environmental and listening themes. Showcasing works by renowned California artists like Milford Zornes and Millard Sheets, the exhibit reflects the state’s natural beauty and delicate balance with nature—inviting visitors to pause and consider humanity’s evolving relationship with the environment. With limited gallery hours (Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.), visitors are encouraged to plan ahead. Admission and parking are free, and the gallery’s convenient location near downtown San Bernardino makes it an accessible and inspiring cultural stop.

First Thursdays: Patch Making Workshop
