As schools let out and evenings stretch later into the night, communities across the region are filling parks, streets, theaters, and public spaces with live music, art walks, outdoor movies, festivals, workshops, and creative gatherings of all kinds. This month leans into connection and celebration, with events that make it easy to explore something new, support local artists and businesses, or simply spend time with community. Whether you are heading into the mountains, the desert, downtown, or somewhere in between, June’s lineup brings plenty of ways to stay inspired all month long.

Dance Mojave Adult

Designed for dancers ages 13 and up, this all-levels class welcomes both experienced movers and those looking to build confidence in dance for the first time. Through a mix of conditioning, ballet, modern, and jazz technique, along with dance history, participants will strengthen their skills while exploring the foundations of movement and performance. The course supports goals like improving flexibility and strength, preparing for the stage, and developing technical excellence in a supportive and growth-focused environment. Classes are available for $40 per month or $15 for drop-ins.

Repti-Palooza Family Fun Day

Beyond the scales and snakes, attendees can enjoy inflatable obstacle courses, food vendors, music, face painting, balloon twisting, and activities designed to keep kids and adults entertained throughout the day. Whether guests are longtime reptile fans or simply looking for a playful family outing, Repti-Palooza offers a mix of learning, adventure, and community fun in one lively celebration.

Second Saturdays: Chalk Art

Victor Valley Museum’s Second Saturday invites kids and families to turn the pavement into a canvas with a hands-on day of colorful chalk art and creative play. Young artists can explore bold designs, playful patterns, and imaginative drawings while celebrating self-expression in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. Designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection, Second Saturdays create space for families to make art together while engaging with science, culture, and community in meaningful ways. The activity is included with museum admission, and free for members.

The Nautilus Room - Oceanic Curiosities

Visitors can dive into the mysteries of the ocean without leaving the desert at the return of The Nautilus Room, an immersive marine natural history exhibit opening this April at Mojave Moon Apothecary. Set inside a Victorian-style parlor filled with maritime antiques, the four-month pop-up features a curated collection of oceanic specimens and preserved coastal forms that invite guests of all ages to explore the beauty and complexity of marine life through a hands-on experience. Visitors can admire or purchase select specimens, with 10% of exhibit sales supporting marine conservation, education, and research through the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. The exhibit will be open during regular store hours from April through July.

Green Thumbs - Forest Restoration Volunteers

The 2026 Green Thumbs Restoration Volunteer Season invites community members to roll up their sleeves and help care for public lands throughout the San Bernardino National Forest. Held on select Saturdays from 9AM to 3PM, these hands-on volunteer days give participants the chance to support habitat restoration through activities like collecting native seeds, planting trees and native plants, assisting Forest Service nurseries, maintaining restoration sites, and removing trash and graffiti. Each project contributes to strengthening forest resilience, restoring local ecosystems, and protecting the natural landscapes that make the region unique.

No experience is needed, and all equipment and water will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, and children are welcome with adult supervision.

Emerging Artist Meet-Up: Preparing your Digital Portfolio for the Ontario Arts Festival
