A recipient of the 2023 to 24 California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship Legacy Award, Khalsa is also the author of multiple monographs, curator of the Getty supported PST ART exhibition Desert Forest: Life with Joshua Trees, Professor of Art Emerita at California State University, San Bernardino, and a longtime resident of Joshua Tree.
